Topic:Quality analysis of mango cv golden nam dok mai by laser ligth backscattering imaging
Abstract:This research aim to study the feasibility of laser light backscattering image technique (LLBI) to determine the qualities of mango cv. Golden Nam Dok Mai. Three laser diodes 405, 650 and 1064 nm were selected that are representative of blue, red and NIR laser respectively. The scattering images were captured by Pax cam® CCD camera. The results were compared with NIRS technique that measured spectral by equipment of Vis-NIRS, wavelength between 305-1145 nm. The results were found that laser at 405 nm gave the best calibration model in every qualities with R2 = 0.6957, SECV = 1.02 for ripening index (RPI), R2 = 0.6042, SECV = 1.59 for total soluble solids (TSS) and R2 = 0.6303, SECV = 4.24 for firmness, While NIRS technique provide the effective calibration models with R2 = 0.9304, SECV = 0.59 for ripening index (RPI), R2 = 0.8725, SECV = 1.23 for total soluble solids (TSS) and R2 = 0.9408, SECV = 2.12 for firmness.
