Topic:IDENTIFICATION OF FACTOR AFFECTED ON THE PURSUIT OF BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAM IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
Abstract:The purpose of this research is to study factors which could affect on decision making for studying Industrial Engineering at undergraduate level. This study will help improve the Industrial Engineering Department. The participants of this project were 480 high school students majoring in science - math. Questionnaires were used as research tools. Data was collected from high school students from February to March, 2012. The result shows that the expectation of high school students is the major factor to study in Industrial Engineering. The following factors are individual abilities, environment, tuition fee and grants, recruitment and university quality. However, the external influences which are very high impact are also involved in decision making. Economic status and background of high school students are moderately impact on decision making on university. KEYWORDS : factors affecting, decision making, industrial engineering
