Japanese student visits for 1 month
Miss Natsuki Yamada, a master course student from Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life, Hiroshima University, Japan came to conduct a research for 1 month, from July 1 - 31, 2023 at Chocolate Research Lab, Silpakorn University with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sopark Sonwai under the collaboration with Professor Satoru Ueno.
International Short-Course in Food Technology

Students win product development competition
Congratulations to our students for winning several prizes from the FoSTAT Food Innovation Contest 2023. One team won a third place and another team won three prizes including best packaging, forth place team, and popular vote prize. See more pictures
International Training Course Supported by TICA
Department of Food Technology organized an international training course on the topic "The application of a parabolic greenhouse solar dryer together with raw material preparation techniques to extend shelf-life and enhance quality of agricultural products", which was supported by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), via online platform during 24 April – 5 May 2023. Miss Pawinee Chotanankongpat, a 3rd year student has been selected to join the SANUKI program 2023 at Kagawa University, Japan for 1 semester.
New Lecturer
We welcome Dr. Khwanjai Klinchongkon as a new Lecturer at Department of Food Technology. She graduated in Food Technology from our department in 2008, specialized in extraction of bioactive compounds from agricultural sources. Currently Dr. Khwanjai is working with the extraction of protein from alternative sources such as insects.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Pornsri Charoenpanich has been successfully promoted to Assistant Professor in Food Science and Technology.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sopark Sonwai went to conduct a research with Prof. Dr. Dérick Rousseaua at Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada during June 21 - July 23, 2022.
Research visit in Japan
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pramote Khuwijitjaru went to conduct a research with Prof. Dr. Shuji Adachi during May 16 - June 30, 2022 at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (Kameoka Campus), Japan under a JSPS Invitational Fellowships for Research (FY 2020) program.
