Department of Food Technology was formed in 1990 under the Faculty of Industrial Technology which then expanded into Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology. Department of Food Technology started to teach the first class of Bachelor of Science Program in 1992, Master of Science Program in 2001 and Doctor of Philosophy Program in 2013.
The number of current undergraduate students are around 400 students while the Master and Ph.D. courses students are around 30 students.
