About us
Brief History

Department of Food Technology was formed in 1991 under the Faculty of Industrial Technology which then expanded into Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology. Department of Food Technology started to teach the first class of Bachelor of Science Program in 1992, Master of Science Program in 2001 and Doctor of Philosophy Program in 2013.

The number of current undergraduate students are around 400 students while the Master and Ph.D. courses students are around 30 students.
Our Research Output

The Department of Food Technology actively supports our staffs to acquire funding from various sources and to deliver significant outputs. At the same time, we have continuously published scientific articles in international journals which contribute knowledge to the international communities.

Getting Here

Located  in Nakhon Pathom province, Silpakorn University (Sanam Chandra Palace campus) is around 88 km from the Suvarnabhumi Airport or around 83 km from the Don Mueang International Airport. Car is the most convenient way to travel from both airports directly to the campus. Public transportation including mini-vans, buses and trains are also available.
